The IRS has determined that "The Southwest Harbor Historical Society" is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under the United States Internal Revenue Code, 26 U.S.C. § 501(c). Contributions to the Society are deductible under section 170 of the Code.
The Effective Date of Exemption is 13 October 2004.
